Charlie Gerard

Charlie is a senior research engineer at CrowdStrike, the author of Practical Machine Learning in JavaScript with TensorFlow.js and overall, a creative technologist. She builds experimental prototypes to explore and push the boundaries of what can be done using web technologies with a focus on human-computer interaction. Some of her projects include hacking a car from the browser, controlling a web interface with brain waves, and controlling a clone of Beat Saber with hand movements.

Talk Info - Motion control with multimodal LLMs

What if you could use multimodal LLMs to interact with websites or IoT devices using motion control? As advancements in multimodal AI offer new opportunities to push the boundaries of what can be done with this technology, I started wondering how it could be leveraged from the perspective of human-computer interaction. In this talk, I will take you through my research experimenting with building motion-controlled prototypes using LLMs in JavaScript.

DEPART was a former NMBS warehouse and is now an event hall for up to 1400 visitors.

Depart Event Hall will host Bump festival this year. The mainstage is where the magic happens, featuring talks and musical intermezzos. Don't miss the PartnerBooths for cool connections and innovations.

There are trains from all major cities in Belgium. The venue is a 5 minute walk from the train station.

By car
The city centre of Kortrijk can be easily accessed by the E17 motorway.

By plane
Airports Brussels National Airport (BRU) and Brussels South/Charleroi (CRL).

From the airports you can take a train to Brussels and change for Kortrijk in one of the Brussels trainstations.
